The little village with big ideas

Based in Chintsa on the the Wild Coast of South Africa, the Friends of Chintsa is a Non Profit Organisation (NPO registration # 088-760) working as a community in striving for positive change. Founded in 2008, the organisation has grown rapidly from an affiliate of the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA) to a stand alone, accountable NPO running projects in partnership with local schools, government departments, NGOs and community stakeholders.

Local champions turn good ideas into realities and this innovative approach has sparked interest from around the globe. Membership transcends race, creed, sex and nationality. Without each other, very little would be actualised.
